oh yeah, went up to an international event yesterday, The Global Peace Festival (GPF) 08, 1st in M'sia.well, i do agree that this event is quite supported by all people as everyone is seeking a peaceful country.
the day started quite differently for me. i was informed that we have to be in school first by 2.15.
but when i got there, it seems that everyone was there and they are about to leave.well, we did waited for another moment for somebody else to come.
yeah, the bus driver just took around 15-20 minutes to reach the Putra Indoor Stadium.
we walked towards the stadium and noticed some stalls were set up there to get some sales.
well, went up to meet a gang of friends who were at the Rakan Muda stall.
oh yeah, they also did joined the rakan muda club just to get a member.LOLz.(for showing off purposes).
well, the person up there was so smart that day, peoples are outside the stadium and when the event was just about to start, it started raining so that everyone could quickly get inside to the stadium and join in the fun.
the event started with some indian dance.
well, although we dont pay too much attention on these dance (because we dont know anything about it), so we were like screaming so that we were like joining in the fun.
then, the host of the event was like comparing,which sides shout louder and so on, then it came to a decision where they play a song YMCA, and each sides have to sing when their turns came.
quite some fun actually and the crowd was huge.
Ning Baizura came in after that with two songs sang by her.
i got her picture with my camera but yet, it seems so small as we were sitting quite far from the stage and we were at the upper tier of the stadium.
next was the playing of different kinds of drums by a few races followed by a band from the royal air force.then it came into the ceremony and speech were coming on and on.
a few of the speech was from the leaders and another one was from one of the ambassador,who everyone knows as the M'sia's first angkasawan.
after speech and speech, the concert was about to begin. it started with Nikki (not sure about spelling) with 2 songs. then followed by other singers like Ella, Daniel Lee (Malaysian Idol 2 winner), Suki (one in a million winner) and jacklyn victor (Malaysian Idol 1 winner).
well, quite a number of songs were sang, for example, the two Malaysian Idol theme song which is the Gemilang and Mimpi. besides, daniel also managed to sing mimpi in mandarin version as there were plenty of overseas representatives from China,Singapore, Indonesia, India, Thailand and so on.
well, after few songs the crowd seems to be quite hard to control as some of the singers tried to shake hands with the fans and even tried to go down of the stage. well, i also did take this oppoturnity to go near the singers and took few photos.
during the last performance, all of the singers came up to sing the GPF theme song together. this time i did took some shots of these singers, and finally shook hand with Daniel and Suki. yeah, not to say i am a fans or what, just have an experience of joining in the fun and well, i did shook hand with them.LOLz.
the event ended up quite late and we were about to leave.
outside the stadium, we were approached by a thailand journalist or else, not really sure about it. she came to us and ask us to follow what was written on her book. it says " we are from _____________ (school name), Malaysia, see you in Global Peace Festival 2009, Thailand!!!"
oh?promoting our country and our school?

well, teacher, make a trip to GPF thailand next year lah.haha.

These 2 photos (above and below) is the Malay singer, Ella. well, i got to know from my parents that she's 30-40+ yr old lady (not sure). and yet, she seems young and, her act is also like a teenage girl.
